Through participatory research aimed at fostering the emergence, valorization and articulation of different knowledges on child poverty, in particular the experiential knowledges of the children and young people concerned, this article brings into play a methodological device under construction, designed to counteract the inequalities of treatment and epistemic injustices in social work research practice. It proposes to discuss the potential disruptive role of participatory social work research in the empowerment of children and young people affected by social problems and inequalities as well as in the co-construction of more just methodologies, knowledge, actions and public policies.
