Résumé

The environmental impacts of hotels altogether are significant, but some hoteliers are still dubitative about going green. The major challenge for hotels is to implement the guests’ preferred green practices to assure benefits for both the environment and the hotel. Therefore, this study explored how Generation Z, which comprises 32% of the world’s population, responds to hotels’ green practices and dimensions by using Likert scale and best-worst scaling (BWS) approaches. The results are encouraging as only three of the 42 tested green were not rated as important. Results of the BWS revealed that hoteliers should start by implementing efficient energy management programs and waste reduction programs. The findings of this study help hoteliers to develop the green practices to attract Generation Z while reducing the negative environmental impacts of hotels.
