Abstract
Social work policy and professional rhetoric currently promote the greater participation of users in defining the interventions that concern them. From the perspective of work analysis, this article describes how child protection professionals concretely promote this participation in a dispositive of compulsory assistance (mediated visits). Our analysis reveals that the activities of this dispositive develop an intervention modality that differs from the interviews of more conventional dispositives, notably by placing at its centre a particular relationship to the present and its experiential and evenmential dimension.
