Résumé
Cet article aborde une négociation manquée pour accéder à un terrain d’enquête hospitalier en Suisse. Il retrace les tentatives d’intéressement mutuel, initialement fructueuses autour du projet de la recherche, puis compromises par l’imposition d’une politique de cosignature systématique par un médecin chef de service. Nous soutenons qu’examiner les négociations d’accès au terrain et leurs éventuels échecs en situation est une manière de saisir les conséquences des politiques néolibérales de la recherche sur les enquêtes ethnographiques et les relations qu’elles engagent. Ces analyses ouvrent enfin des perspectives pour forger de nouvelles coalitions.
This article discusses a failed negotiation to gain access to a hospital research site in Switzerland. It traces the attempts at mutual interessement – initially successful around the research project – subsequently compromised by the imposition of a systematic co-signature policy by the department’s chief physician. We argue that examining negotiations for access to the field and their possible failures in situ is a way of understanding the consequences of neoliberal research policies on ethnographic investigations and the relationships they engage. These analyses ultimately open up possibilities for forging new coalitions.
Este artículo aborda una negociación fallida cual tenía como objetivo el acceso a un terreno de investigación en un hospital suizo. Retrasa las tentativas de interessement mutual al propósito del proyecto de investigación, inicialmente fructuosas, pero que fueron comprometidas por la imposición de una política de firma conjunta sistemática de parte de un médico jefe de servicio. Sostenemos que examinar, en situación, a las negociaciones de acceso al terreno y a sus potenciales fracasos, consiste en una manera de captar las consecuencias de las políticas neoliberales de la investigación sobre las conductas de etnografías y sobre las relaciones implicadas. Por fin, cuelas analices abren perspectivas para forjar nuevas coaliciones.
