Résumé
A Aldeia da Reserva da Jaqueira em Porto Seguro (BA) além de ser moradia de famíliasindígenasdo povo Pataxó tem como principal atividade econômica o turismo. O local se destaca por ser um dos principais destinos dentro do itinerário dosturistasna região.Ao longo dos anos a aldeia vem passando por melhorias na infraestrutura, dentre estas relacionadas a questão do uso da água e de seu saneamento. Esse artigo apresenta um relato de experiência na aldeia,território fértil para a prática dessa relação entre a academia e os conhecimentos tradicionais. Este relato possuiuma abordagem teórico-metodológicaa fim de compreender a relação da água e do saneamento da reserva.Para o povo Pataxó,para além do seu valor ambiental, a água possui uma simbologia no que se refere às suas tradições e práticas culturais, de lazerede sobrevivência, bem como em rituais religiosos.
The Aldeia da Reserva da Jaqueira in Porto Seguro (BA) in addition to being home to indigenous families of the Pataxó people has tourism as its main economic activity. All year round it is one of the important places on the itinerary of different tourists. Over the years, the village has been undergoing infrastructure improvements, among which are related to the issues of water use and sanitation. This article presents an account of the experience lived in the village, a fertile territory for the practice of this relationship between academic and traditional knowledge. This report has a theoretical and methodological approach to understanding the relationship between water and sanitation in the reserve. For the Pataxó people, water has a symbolism concerning their tradition, cultural, leisure, and survival practices and religious rituals, in addition to its environmental value.
