Résumé
The sustainable development goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations have created a new level of social and environmental responsibility for firms. This study uses a survey encompassing a discrete choice experiment to investigate whether private firms are ready to spend in favor of SDGs and which specific SDGs they prefer. The analysis is based on a sample of more than 250 firms
located in the canton of Geneva (Switzerland). Our results show that firms have a clear preference towards the environmental dimension (namely SDGs 4, 5, 8, and 10) as opposed to the social dimension (namely SDGs 7, 9, 12, and 13) of sustainable development.
