Abstract
Cet article présente les résultats d’une recherche qui s’intéresse aux représentations sociales de la « bonne mort », ainsi qu’aux pratiques et ressources des personnes migrantes face à la mort en Suisse francophone, suivant un devis méthodologique mixte.
Les résultats quantitatifs montrent une importance accordée à la présence des proches, aux besoins religieux, spirituels et à une mort sans souffrance, sans douleurs, en étant en bonne relation avec ses proches. Les données qualitatives relèvent une diversité de
pratiques, contraintes et ressources mobilisées face à la mort.
This article presents the results of a research project that examines the social representations of the “good death”, as well as the practices and resources of immigrants facing death in French-speaking Switzerland, following a mixed methodological approach. The quantitative results show the importance given to the presence of loved ones, to religious and spiritual needs and to a death without suffering, pain, while being in good relationship with one’s loved ones. The qualitative data show a diversity of practices, constraints and resources mobilized in the face of death.
